A crypto payment gateway for subscriptions, with or without code.
Fianto is a crypto payment gateway for USDC on Solana. It takes one-off payments and subscriptions that renew by themselves: the customer approves once in their own wallet, and each billing period moves straight from the customer's wallet to yours. You can sell with no code, from a payment link or a hosted shop, or open the checkout from your own server with one API call. The merchant pays nothing, and there is no Fianto fee during the beta.
What a crypto payment gateway does
A crypto payment gateway sits between a customer's wallet and a business. It shows the customer the amount, ties the payment to an order, finds the payment on chain, decides when it is final, and tells the business that it is paid. Gateways differ most on three questions: who holds the money on the way, which coins and networks they take, and whether they can bill the same customer again next month. The five jobs are explained in what is a crypto payment gateway.
| Send-to-address gateway | Custodial processor | Fianto | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the customer pays | Sends coins to an address the gateway shows | Pays the processor, which pays the business out later | Signs one transaction in their own wallet |
| Who holds the money | Depends on the gateway | The processor, until the payout | Nobody: it goes wallet to wallet |
| Wrong amounts | Possible: the gateway must handle partial and over-payments | Handled by the processor | Cannot happen: the amount is written into what the customer signs |
| Subscriptions | Usually a reminder and a new payment each month | Varies | Approved once, collected on the due date |
Crypto subscriptions that renew by themselves
A wallet only moves money when its owner signs, so most crypto subscriptions used to be a monthly reminder. Fianto uses the public Subscriptions program on Solana instead. At checkout the customer approves the subscription once, with a cap per billing period. On each due date Fianto collects that period, and the program refuses anything above the cap or to a wallet the plan does not name. A monthly plan renews every 30 days and a yearly plan every 365 days.
If the customer's wallet is short on the day, nothing is taken and the subscription is past due. Fianto tries again after an hour, six hours and a day; if the fourth try fails, the subscription ends. Customers see and cancel what their wallet pays in the customer portal. How the approval and the cap work is on stablecoin auto renewal.
Three ways to sell with no code
- A payment link: make it in the dashboard for a one-time, monthly or yearly price, and share it anywhere. It opens the hosted checkout with your name and price. See payment links.
- A shop: your own storefront at <name>.fianto.xyz, built in the dashboard from a theme, with product photos and videos. After a payment it can show a message, a link or a code for each buyer, and give a seat in your Telegram group or a Discord role. See the shop.
- Discount codes: percent or fixed-amount codes the customer types at checkout, for one charge, several or every charge. Made in the dashboard.
Payment links, the shop and discount codes are dashboard features; they have no API. When you want the checkout inside your own product, the API below does the same job from your server.
And with code: one API call
One API call creates a checkout session with your own order ID, for a one-off payment or a subscription. Signed webhooks (Standard Webhooks) report each payment and each renewal, so your app can grant and remove access. An approved merchant can test on Devnet with test USDC and a separate test key before taking real money. The details are on developers.
What it costs and what it does not do
The merchant pays nothing. There is no Fianto fee during the beta, and Fianto pays the Solana network fee of every transaction your customer signs. The customer pays a flat network fee with every subscription charge, 0.01 USDC today. Any later Fianto fee goes on top of your price, paid by your customer, with at least 30 days notice. The numbers are on the pricing page.
- Fianto accepts USDC on Solana only. Bitcoin, Ether, other stablecoins and other networks are not accepted yet.
- No cards and no fiat payouts: sales arrive as USDC in your wallet.
- No chargebacks. A refund is you sending USDC back from your own wallet.
- Fianto reviews every merchant before the first payment, and some businesses need written approval first (see the acceptable use policy).
