On this page
- Two no-code routes: a payment link for one recurring price, or a shop at <name>.fianto.xyz that lists your plans. Both need an approved merchant account.
- You never touch Solana: Fianto creates the plan when the first subscription checkout for a price opens, and its key signs every renewal.
- Without code, access is yours to grant and remove by hand, except shop sales, which can send purchase.paid and subscription.ended to Zapier or Make.
Can you sell a Solana subscription without code?
You can sell a recurring USDC subscription on Solana from the Fianto dashboard alone, through a payment link or a shop. Both send the subscriber to the same hosted checkout, where they sign one transaction that pays the first period and approves later charges up to a cap. Every 30 or 365 days after that, the next charge is collected from their wallet with no new signature. How the renewals work on chain is covered on Solana subscriptions.
If you have read that a Fianto subscription needs the API, that predates shops and payment links: today the API is only needed when the checkout starts inside your own site or app, as the docs page Do I need a developer? now says.
What do you need before the first subscriber?
- A merchant account Fianto has approved. "Get your account ready" has four steps: "Who gets paid", "Two-factor sign-in", "The wallet you get paid to" and "Submit for review". Fianto promises no review time, so start early.
- A receiving wallet that already holds a USDC token account. You prove it with a signed message during set-up; renewals land there.
- A recurring price. Under Products click New product, fill "Price in USDC" (0.01 to 1,000,000), set "Type" to Recurring and "Billing" to "Every month (30 days)" or "Every year (365 days)". There is no weekly, quarterly or custom interval, and no free trial.
- A support email in Settings, so a subscriber with a question can reach you. The questions payers ask most are in ten questions customers ask when paying in USDC. Fianto sends subscribers no email of its own.
How do you sell a subscription from a payment link?
A payment link is the shortest route: one recurring price, one address, shareable anywhere.
- Under Payments, open Payment links and click New link.
- Pick the recurring price with "Existing price", or use "New product" with "Charge" set to Monthly. A yearly price can be linked only through "Existing price".
- Set "Ask for email" to "Ask, required" if you will grant access by hand: the email is how you will recognise the subscriber.
- Optionally cap sign-ups with "Ends when full" or close enrolment with "Ends on a date".
- Click Create link, then Copy link. The address reads
https://checkout.plus 16 random characters.fianto. xyz/l/
Subscribers see your price, a line such as "Monthly, capped at 9.00 USDC", and an Approve with a wallet button. What the link does across a subscriber's whole life, renewals and closing included, is in a recurring payment link for a monthly USDC plan.
How do you sell a subscription from a Fianto shop?
A shop is a page at <name>. that can list several products, each with up to 10 of its prices, so a monthly and a yearly plan can sit side by side. You build it in the dashboard; it publishes only after approval.
- On the Shop page, click Edit shop and open the Products tab.
- Show the product, then tick its recurring prices under "Prices shown".
- Set "Kind" to membership (button "Join", buyer email Required) or software (button "Subscribe", email Optional). You can change the button label.
- Under "After a purchase", write the "Message to the buyer" and, if you have one, a link to where the subscription is used. Click Save.
- Pick a theme (see the guide to the 23 shop themes), run the checklist and click Publish.
The shop emails the buyer your message and link when they gave an email, which is the only email Fianto ever sends a payer. Themes, sections and delivery codes are covered in the no-code USDC shop post.
Monthly or yearly plans in USDC, sold from a link or your own shop page. No Fianto fee during the beta.
See subscriptionsWhat happens on Solana when someone subscribes?
When someone subscribes, four parties each do one part, and you are the only one who does nothing on chain. The terms are fixed at that moment: Solana's announcement of the program says billing terms are "snapshotted at subscribe time".
| Who | What they do | What it costs them |
|---|---|---|
| You | Set the price, share the link or shop, receive USDC | Nothing, not even a network fee |
| Fianto | Creates the on-chain plan when the first subscription checkout for the price opens, collects each renewal 2 minutes into the new period, retries a failed renewal one hour, six hours and a day after the period ends, and updates the dashboard | Its key signs each renewal and covers that transaction's SOL |
| The Subscriptions program | Refuses any charge above the cap, to a wallet the plan does not name, or by a collector not on the plan | Nothing |
| The subscriber | Signs once, keeps USDC in the wallet, cancels at fianto.xyz/my | The price and a network fee of 0.01 USDC with each charge today, a Solana fee under $0.01 for the one transaction they sign, and account rent in SOL |
As of 15 October 2026 the rent is about 0.00144 SOL for the subscription account, returned when the subscriber reclaims it after the subscription ends, plus about 0.00119 SOL once on a wallet's first subscription, not returned. Solana is lowering rent in steps, so the checkout shows the exact live amount. Solana's base fee is "5,000 lamports per signature", according to its fee documentation on 15 October 2026. There is no Fianto fee during the beta; after it the subscriber pays about 0.1 to 0.5% on top of your price.
Where does no-code stop?
No-code stops at your other tools: Fianto knows who is subscribed, but telling your course platform, community or app requires either a person, Zapier or Make for shop sales, or a webhook route on a server.
| Task | Payment link, no code | Shop, no code | With code |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grant access at sign-up | By hand, from Subscriptions | Zapier or Make on purchase. | subscription. webhook |
| Remove access when it ends | By hand, Ended filter | Zapier or Make on subscription. | subscription. webhook |
| React to a failed renewal | Needs attention list | Needs attention list | subscription. webhook |
| Cancel a subscriber | Dashboard | Dashboard | Dashboard or POST /v1/subscriptions/{id}/cancel for API sales |
Shop automation lives in Shop settings under "Connect an app": paste a Zapier "Catch Hook" or a Make "Custom webhook" URL and Fianto sends each event as flat fields (shop, product, price, amount paid, buyer email, order id, subscription id, interval, and paid or ended time). The dashboard tells you to set Buyer email to Required, because your app needs it to give access. Two limits: links and API sales never reach Zapier or Make, and there is no past-due event there, so a lapsed subscriber keeps access until the fourth failed attempt ends the subscription, about a day after the renewal was due.
Payment link or shop: which should you pick?
Pick a payment link when you sell one plan and already have somewhere to post it: a newsletter, a bio, a Discord channel. Placing it on a site is covered in adding a USDC payment link to WordPress, Webflow, Framer or Notion. Pick a shop when you sell more than one plan, want a page that explains the offer, or want access opened in another tool without code. Both can run at once for the same price, and both take discount codes on the checkout page.
If the subscription opens something inside your own product, such as an API account or a dashboard, neither no-code route can tie a payment to your user record. That is the point to add a server, as covered in payment link or checkout API.
