On this page
- Past due means a counted try failed and more tries are coming; Ended means Fianto will not start another payment for that subscription.
- Only four failures count: not enough USDC, the shared approval no longer allowing it, a frozen USDC account, a closed USDC account. Anything else is retried without counting.
- A missed period is never billed later. Top up or renew the approval before the next try, or subscribe again after it ends.
Where do you check whether a USDC subscription renewed?
You check a Fianto subscription in the customer portal at fianto.xyz/my, signed in with the wallet that pays it, because Fianto sends payers no renewal emails. Signing in is a signed message, not a transaction, so it costs nothing. The portal lists every Fianto subscription that wallet pays, across every shop, with a status pill and one sentence explaining it.
| Status in the portal | What it means | Will it be charged again? |
|---|---|---|
| Active | The last charge went through. The next one is taken automatically at the start of the next period. | Yes, on the date shown under Next charge |
| Past due | A recent try that counted failed. Fianto is still trying. | Yes, at the next try, if the cause is fixed |
| Ends, with a date | You or the shop cancelled it. It runs to the end of the paid period. | No |
| Ended | It is over. The portal says why. | No |
If the subscription you expect is missing, you are probably signed in with a different wallet: the portal shows only the subscriptions of the wallet that signed in. Each card's Payments list links every paid charge to its transaction on Solscan, which is the quickest way to see whether a renewal really left your wallet.
Why does a USDC renewal fail?
A Fianto renewal fails, and counts against the subscription, for exactly four reasons, all on the wallet side. The portal shows the newest counted reason in its own words. The left column below is copied from it.
| The portal says the try failed because | What happened | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| "this wallet did not hold enough USDC" | The wallet held less USDC than the full charge. Nothing was taken: a charge goes through whole or not at all. | Add USDC to the same wallet before the next try. The portal adds "Add USDC to it before the next try." |
| "this wallet's shared approval for the Solana Subscriptions program no longer lets Fianto take the payment" | The approval your wallet gave when you subscribed was removed or reduced, often by a "revoke approvals" tool (how token approvals and revokes work on Solana). | Press Renew approval on the card and sign. Read what it does first (below). |
| "this wallet's USDC account is frozen" | The USDC account cannot send. On Solana only the token's freeze authority can freeze an account. | Contact the shop. Renewing the approval cannot fix a frozen account. |
| "this wallet's USDC account no longer exists" | The USDC account in that wallet was closed, for example after it was emptied. | Get a USDC account back into the wallet (receiving USDC usually opens one), then renew the approval. |
A token account is the account that holds one token, here USDC, for one wallet; the crypto payment glossary defines the other terms on this page. Solana's token documentation says a wallet "needs a token account for each token (mint) it wants to hold", so a wallet with no USDC account cannot be charged at all. Freezing, in Solana's words, "prevents the token account from receiving, transferring, or burning tokens until the token account is thawed". On 15 October 2026 the USDC mint on Solana still had a freeze authority set, per a getAccountInfo call to a public Solana RPC.
Other failures do not count. If a try fails because of timing on the Solana network, an unreachable network or a problem on Fianto's side, Fianto tries again on its own, usually after about five minutes, and none of those tries uses up one of your four.
Why did it fail when my wallet holds USDC?
A renewal fails with USDC in the wallet when the balance is below the whole charge, not just the price. On plans created since 6 October 2026, each charge carries a flat network fee of 0.01 USDC today, paid by the customer, and after the beta a Fianto fee of about 0.1 to 0.5% will be added on top as well. The portal counts all of it and tells you the gap.
A worked example
You subscribe to a 19.00 USDC monthly plan from Quillfern Labs at 09:00 UTC on 15 October 2026. Each charge is 19.01 USDC: the price plus the 0.01 USDC network fee charged today. A month on Fianto is exactly 30 days, so the first renewal is due at 09:00 UTC on 14 November. Your wallet holds 11.00 USDC that morning.
| Try | Time (UTC) | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 14 Nov, 09:02 | Past due, and "Your wallet is 8.01 USDC short for this charge." |
| 2 | 14 Nov, 10:00 | Still past due if you have not topped up |
| 3 | 14 Nov, 15:00 | Still past due |
| 4 | 15 Nov, 09:00 | If this fails too, the subscription ends |
Send 8.01 USDC or more to the same wallet before any of those times and the next try takes the full 19.01 USDC. USDC sitting in another wallet, or on an exchange account, does not help: Fianto can only charge the wallet that approved the subscription. The full schedule, and what the shop sees meanwhile, is in failed renewals and retries.
Every subscription your wallet pays, with its status, next charge and payments, in one place.
See the customer portalWhat does Renew approval do?
Renew approval restores the one approval your wallet gives the Solana Subscriptions program for USDC, and Fianto then retries the missed payment without asking you again. The portal offers it only while the subscription is past due because of the approval or a closed USDC account, and only when no cancel is scheduled.
That approval is shared. Every USDC subscription your wallet holds through the Solana Subscriptions program, in any shop and through any company, relies on the same one, which is why removing it broke this renewal in the first place. Renewing it "re-enables every one of those subscriptions, in any shop, Fianto's or not, including any you had stopped through your wallet", as the portal warns before you sign. If you removed it on purpose to stop something else, cancel that subscription properly first. Each subscription still has its own record on Solana capping what can be taken per period; Solana token delegation explained shows how the cap works.
What does Ended mean, and can it restart?
Ended means Fianto will not start another payment for that subscription, and an ended subscription never restarts. The portal gives the reason in one of these sentences:
- "It ended because Fianto could not take a payment from this wallet after several tries." The fourth counted try failed.
- "You cancelled it." Your cancel ran to the end of the paid period. How to do that is in how to cancel a crypto subscription.
- "The shop cancelled it." The merchant ended it from their side.
- "It ended because the shop stopped offering this plan." The merchant ended the price.
Fianto does not back-bill. The period that could not be collected is never charged later, even if you top up the next day. To continue, subscribe again from the shop. With the same wallet and the same plan, the old subscription has to be closed on Solana first: press Cancel on Solana if the card offers it, wait for its period there to end, then reclaim its rent. The alternative is to subscribe from a different wallet.
Why did it renew on a different date than I expected?
A Fianto subscription renews every 30 days or every 365 days from the moment you subscribed, so the calendar date moves from month to month. A plan started on 15 October renews on 14 November, then 14 December, then 13 January, each time two minutes after the time of day you first paid. The merchant dashboard calls the intervals "Monthly (every 30 days)" and "Yearly (every 365 days)". The portal's Next charge line always shows the real date.
Who do you contact about a failed renewal?
Contact the shop for anything about access, refunds or a frozen account, because the money goes from your wallet straight to the merchant and Fianto never holds it. Fianto cannot move USDC back to you. If the portal says a payment "may have left your wallet", check the transaction on Solscan from the Payments list before you pay again. The failed renewals page in the payer docs lists the four counted reasons and the fix for each, and the head page on stablecoin auto-renewal explains the approval that makes renewals automatic.
